Richard Nelson BA(Hons), FCIPD, FCMC
Richard has over twenty-one years' experience as a management consultant and is a Director of Nelson Consulting Ltd. He has specialised in organisational consultancy which has included strategy formulation, change management and performance planning and management. Other areas of specialism have involved organisational research, surveys and communications, organisational structure and design, leadership and team development along with executive development, management education and training in business direction, managing change and performance management among other executive management subjects. Prior to management consultancy in which his last employment was with KPMG Management Consulting as a Senior Manager, Richard worked in a number of human resource positions in Smith Kline and Glaxo.
Industry sector experience includes; retail, distribution, financial services and banking, power generation, oil and manufacturing. Delivery experience includes single person assignments to managing teams of consultants where large and/or multi-disciplinary assignments require additional capability and skills. Richard graduated at the University of East Anglia in English with American Literature and has a post graduate diploma in Personnel Management. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultancy.
